More Stats, Better Navigation

New Leero update is here with a major redesign of Advanced Statistics, more flexible Library groups, better navigation between books, audiobook speed tracking, data export, and several improvements that make everyday reading tracking easier.

Here's what's new:

1. 💳 Ownership Stats Are Now Free
   Ownership statistics are now available to everyone. Track books that were purchased, gifted, borrowed, or received in other ways, explore the related stats, and share them directly from Leero.

2. 📊 Redesigned Advanced Statistics
   The Advanced Statistics screen has been completely redesigned with more detailed and interactive reading insights.

   Reading Stats
   Explore reading activity for weekly, monthly, yearly, and all time periods. Statistics can be viewed by pages or reading time, with day by day details about reading activity, best reading days, longest sessions, and finished books. Every statistic can be opened to explore the related books and sessions in more detail.

   Book Stats
   A new Book Stats section provides more information about the library itself. See the longest books by page count, how many books were paused or abandoned, how many were added to the TBR list or Wishlist, and track progress across every reading status.

   Book Stats also includes detailed breakdowns by book format, language, subject, and author. Books from each statistic can be opened or shared directly.

3. ⭐ More Ways to Share Rating Stats
   Rating statistics now include more sharing options. Books can be shared by content rating, and content trait icons from reviews can appear directly on book covers in the Share screen. For example, books marked with Romance can be displayed with heart icons.

4. ⚙️ More Statistics Settings
   The Statistics screen now has more layout options. The Books Finished block can be resized to better fit the preferred layout or hidden completely.

5. 🎧 Audiobook Speed Tracking
   Audiobook reading sessions now support playback speed. Set the listening speed for a session, and Leero will automatically calculate book progress based on the actual listening time.

6. 📝 Notes for Library Groups
   Notes can now be viewed directly inside Library groups. For example, open a favorite series and read notes from every book in that series, or group books by author and browse notes from all books by that author in one place.

7. 📚 Group Books Inside Library Groups
   Library groups can now contain another level of grouping. For example, group the Library by series and then group books inside a series by publisher, or group the Library by author and organize books inside each author group by series.

   This makes larger libraries easier to organize and navigate without changing the main Library structure.

8. ✅ Finished Library Groups
   Library groups now show a Finished stamp when every book inside the group has been completed, making it easier to see completed series.

9. 🔎 Browse Related Books from Book Details
   Book Details now provides faster navigation through the Library. Tap an author, subject, series, publisher, translator, narrator, or collection to browse all books with the same value.

10. ⏱️ Compact Reading Session Timer
    The Reading Session Timer can now be minimized while a session is running. Add another book, browse the Library, read notes, or use other parts of Leero without stopping the active session.

11. 📦 Export Leero Data
    Leero data can now be exported as CSV files or as a ZIP backup. This makes it easier to keep a personal copy of reading data or move it outside the app when needed.

12. 🛠 Stability & Reliability Improvements

• Deleted books are no longer included in author name suggestions.
• Improved overall app stability and reliability.
• Added several smaller fixes and refinements throughout the app.

New update brings a much deeper Statistics experience while also making the Library more flexible and connected. Reading activity, books, notes, groups, and related metadata are now easier to explore without jumping between separate parts of the app.

New Fonts

More customization is coming to Leero in 1.3.0 💜

This update adds new font settings across the app, so you can make Leero feel more personal and choose a style that better matches the way you like to read and organize your Library.

1. 🔤 App Fonts
   You can now customize fonts throughout Leero instead of using the same style everywhere.

   Choose one font for headings, another for body text, and a separate font for notes. This makes it possible to create a look that feels cleaner, softer, more playful, or more minimal depending on your preference.

   Each font category can be changed independently, so you can mix different styles instead of applying one font to the whole app.

   We also kept System fonts as an option.

   If one of the suggested fonts does not support your language or some characters are displayed incorrectly, you can switch that category back to the System font. This way, Leero can continue using the font provided by your device with full support for your language.

   You can also use System fonts only for one category and keep custom fonts for the others.

   For example, you might use a custom font for headings and notes, while keeping body text in the System font for better readability or language support.

2. 💬 Quote Fonts
   Font customization is also available when sharing quotes.

   If you choose the None background in the quote share screen, you can now select the font used for the quote itself.

   This gives you more control over the final style of your share image and makes it easier to match the font to the mood of the quote, book, or your own visual style.

   You can keep it simple, choose something more handwritten, or use a stronger display font depending on what you want to share.

The goal with these settings is not to change how you use Leero, but to give you more control over how your reading space feels.

More Detail, More Insight

Since our last update post, we’ve made a lot of changes to Leero. Some of them have already been released along the way, and some are coming with Leero 1.3.0 today 💪

Here's what's new:

1. 📚 A Smarter Library
   Reading progress is now clearer in List view, so you can see how far you’ve read right from your Library. We also made groups more flexible, with progress tracking inside them and separate Grid or List view settings for your Library and book groups.

2. 📖 Track Group Progress
   Book groups now show their own reading progress directly in the Library. Add all books from a series or collection and you can quickly see how much of the group you’ve already completed.

3. 🤖 Android Widgets
   The long awaited calendar is finally here for the Current Reading widget on Android. Turn on Calendar, resize the widget to fit your screen, and it will look just like it does on iOS.

4. ⏱️ Session Timer
   You can now turn off the session timer completely if you don’t need it. After that, you can add reading sessions directly without having to skip the timer every time.

5. 💳 Purchase Stats
   The purchase statistics screen has been redesigned with more insights. You can now explore your stats for all time, see more details about your purchases, sort books by store, and share your purchase stats for any selected period.

6. 📊 Reading Time Stats
   We’ve expanded Reading Time statistics with more ways to explore your reading. You can now view your reading time and sessions by week, by year, or for all time, with more details about your reading speed, total hours, and average session duration.

7. 📘 Book Reading Stats
   Book details now include more reading statistics. You can see your reading speed for each book, and for books you’re currently reading, Leero will estimate how long it may take to finish based on your pace for that specific book.

8. ⚙️ More Statistics Settings
   We added more settings for the Statistics screen. In Activity Calendar, you can now use the Start to Finish view, where book covers stay visible from the start date to the finish date, and choose whether to show a book stack or just one cover. For Reading Activity, you can switch charts and stats between pages and finished books.

9. 🎲 Better Random Book Picker Filters The Random Book Picker now gives you more control over the selection. You can include books from your Wishlist and filter books by Collections, making it easier to pick from exactly the books you want.

10. 📅 Finished Date
    Changing a book status to Finished no longer automatically sets today as the finish date. You can leave it empty if you don’t remember the exact date, or set your own date later in Book Details.

11. 🛠 Stability & Reliability Improvements
    We also fixed a number of issues across the app:

• Fixed decimal prices in purchase tracking.
• Improved book cover quality on Share screens.
• Fixed issues with the iOS Current Reading widget.
• Fixed accent colors in Statistics.
• Improved Bookmory import so all supported backup files can be imported correctly.

There are also additional smaller fixes throughout the app that improve general stability and everyday use 🙌

This update is all about giving you more control, more useful information, and fewer small frustrations while using Leero 🫶 Try everything new, play with the settings, and let us know which improvement you noticed first.

New Languages

Hello 🙌

A little autumn update is here 🍂 Over the past weeks, we’ve been polishing Leero with a bunch of small but useful improvements to make the app feel smoother, clearer, and more comfortable to use every day.

And now, Leero 1.2.2 is here 💜

1. 🌍 New Languages
   We’ve added French, German, and Italian to Leero, making the app easier to use for even more readers.

2. 📖 Reading Progress
   We’ve added a small progress bar to books you’re currently reading, so you can quickly see how far you’ve come right from your Library.

3. 📚 Library Improvements
   We made a few small updates to the Library to keep things cleaner and easier to browse. Book cards now look better when status and rating are hidden, and series groups show each book’s number in List view.

4. 📊 Statistics Settings
   You now have more control over what appears in your Statistics:

• Choose which statistic sections you want to show or hide.
• Simplify your Activity Calendar by showing only when you started and finished each book.
• Choose which reading statuses should be included in your stats.

5. 📅 Book Calendar Settings

   We’ve also added more ways to customize your Book Calendar, so you can keep it detailed or make it as simple as you like.

• Show your streak for a specific month, for all time, or hide it completely.
• Choose whether to show every day in the calendar or only the beginning and end of the month.
• Show or hide your book rating.
• Choose whether audiobook activity appears in the calendar.
• Show or hide the page counter whenever you want.

6. 🎨 Improved Collections & Subjects
   We’ve made editing Collections and Subjects more flexible. You now have more colors to choose from, and you can add or remove books directly from the editing screen, making it quicker and easier to keep everything organized the way you like.

7. 📥 Improved Bookmory Import
   We’ve fixed a couple of issues with Bookmory imports. Book covers should now come through correctly, and percentage-based reading progress is imported more accurately too.
